Tris-biphenyl triazine

Tris-Biphenyl Triazine, also known as TBT or Uvinul® T 150, is the most effective UVB and UVA2 filter known today and features in many sunscreens. It is a UV filter and absorber, converting light energy into heat which is then dissipated from the skin. TBT is a stabiliser, which increases the shelf-life of the product, as well as being resistant to degradation by UV radiation. Other advantages of TBT is that it is non-comedogenic, non-irritating and water-resistant.
